The TSSAP Series Model 11851 Antenna and Pedestal System is a single-axis, manual elevation over electric azimuth pedestal with a high power emitter antenna. It operates over a frequency range of 6.8 to 7.3 gHz. The rate controlled pedestal is capable of rotating the antenna assembly up to 26 rpm in winds of 65 kph, gusting to 105 kph. It will survive winds to 160 keph without any permanent damage. It is suitable for shipboard or severe coastal environments.

The Model 11851 Antenna and Pedestal Assembly consists of a four foot diameter parabolic reflector antenna with associated wide-band feed and a single-axis command controlled pedestal.

The linearly polarized emitter antenna is a 4' reflector antenna with a focal point feed. The feed system is capable of pressurization to 20 psig. Horizontal or vertical polarization is manually selectable at the feed.

The pedestal assembly is a single-axis antenna pedestal equipped with a pulse width modulated servo drive system and power supply. This pedestal has an internal waveguide rotary joint configured to operate in the 6.8 to 7.3 gHz frequency range.

The Model 11851 Antenna and Pedestal System has three modes of slew operation that are selectable in the control box located on the exterior of the pedestal. The fixed slew rate control allows speed selections of 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 rpm. The direction toggle switch allows selection of CW, OFF or CCW. The manual slew mode is controlled by a 10 turn precision dial potentiometer allowing the operator to continuously vary slew from zero to 26 rpm in either direction. External command control as well as several torques.
