TSSGH SERIES ANTENNAS
The TSSGH series of Standard Gain Horn Antennas fit the traditional application for the horn type device, but is unique in that each antenna is computer designed to the user's specific gain-frequency requirements and calibrated in accordance with NRL report #4433. Each antenna is supplied with its individual calibration of gain verses frequency over its full operating band. With these advantages over conventional "off-the-shelf" Standard Gain Horns, they are competitively priced. The horn type antenna has a narrow, controlled beamwidth. Its gain at a given frequency is predictable to within 0.2 dB depending only on its physical size. TSA has developed a computer synthesis which produces designs of standard gain horns to almost any gain-frequency combination. The horns are optimized for low VSWR. Tsa Standard Gain Horn Antennas find wide usage in determining the gain of unknown antennas by the substitution method. They are also useful when narrow, controlled beamwidths are required over wide bandwidths. Full waveguide bandwidths are availabe to 40 gHz with standard waveguide flanges. Also available are wider bandwidths with double ridge or coaxial inputs.
